About the Golden Waffle Company

The Golden Waffle Company was established in 2019 by two friends with a mutual love for Waffles. Rosario Ortega and Angela Corpening have been friends for several years and enjoy traveling around with their families and trying new places to eat. Breakfast, and the hunt for great Waffles, is always a must in their travels. The two noticed over time that other cities have tons of variety of options for breakfast, and felt Amarillo was lacking in this area. “With the need present and our love for Waffles, we thought it would be fun and unique to start a breakfast/brunch spot based mainly on Waffles, hence the Golden Waffle Company was created.” Both ladies have previous experience in the restaurant business with Angela also owning the GoldenLight Café & Cantina and Rosario growing up in her parent’s restaurant, The El Matador in Dumas, TX. The Golden Waffle Company menu is a creative menu, crafted by the ladies to offer a variety of both unique waffle pairings along with many breakfast/brunch favorite options. In addition to the amazing food the Golden Waffle Company also offers hand crafted Mimosas, Micheladas and Milkshakes.

So far, the best mimosas in town!! The sunset mimosa was sooo good!! They were busy and who can blame them?!? The food was phenomenal.. the. Poached eggs were so good with the texture of the arugula and waffles (light and fluffy). I will definitely go back!! Not to mention he smores waffles!! My bb loved them!!

First time here and we will be back! Delicious food and friendly staff! The s’mores waffle was amazing as well as the fruit cup with raspberries, pineapple, grapes, strawberries and blueberries. The bacon melted in your mouth and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I loved the breakfast tacos with spicy ranch too 😋
